What are the hours of adjudication?
Claims are adjudicated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once an Acknowledgement is generated, what is the time frame for receiving a response?
UV Insurance will provide a response within 5 business days.
Payment: How will payment be handled for claims submitted via the portal? Would it be possible to set up a direct deposit option for payments?
Providers are paid by cheque or direct deposit based on the information provided when registering with TELUS.
Providers are paid twice a month.
Providers that have opted in to direct deposit are set up with paper statements. No electronic statements will be issued.
Coordination of benefits: Is coordination of benefits possible in cases where the patient has both primary and secondary coverage with the same insurer?
If your patient has both primary and secondary coverage with UV Insurance, we will respond electronically to the primary coverage only. Your patient must submit a claim to UV Insurance, either online or by mail, to obtain reimbursement under their secondary coverage.
Can claims for the same service be submitted twice in the same day (e.g., for the same service on two different body parts, or for the same service provided in the morning and in the evening of the same day)?
No.
