As we find ourselves looking squarely at the second wave of COVID-19, there can be little doubt that virtual care is the new reality. Most would agree that virtual care will be a mainstay even after the threat of the virus is gone.
The challenge with treating patients virtually is ensuring that the human aspect of healthcare is not lost in the process. Patients still need human interaction. They must be at the centre of care delivery even when you’re not in the same room.
How do you merge the reality of virtual care with the need to maintain that personal connection?
This was the subject of a TELUS Health webinar presented by Alison Foster, Senior Healthcare Business Consultant, during the OntarioMD first Digital Health and Virtual Care Day on October 1, 2020.
Watch the webinar to learn how your TELUS PS Suite EMR can help you maintain safe, patient-centred care with EMR-integrated tools. Alison will demonstrate how – without leaving your EMR – you can:
- Initiate and conduct a virtual visit
- Manage patient communications, share documents, and have patients complete self-assessments and forms online
- Send electronic prescriptions directly to the patient’s pharmacy and manage incoming renewal requests from the pharmacy
